Theatre Eastern will start off the Holiday Season in Latimer County with their fall production of Christmas Belles, a zany comedy by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. Christmas Belles will play Thursday, November 19th and Friday November 20th at 7:30pm in Mitchell Auditorium on the Wilburton Campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College.

Christmas Belles tells the hilarious story of the Futrelle sisters of Fayro, Texas, a church Christmas pageant that is spinning out of control, family secrets, a surly Santa Claus, a vengeful sheep, food poisoning, and a reluctant Elvis impersonator. Don’t miss the misadventures of this crazy cast of characters as they present a Christmas pageant not to be forgotten – and guaranteed to bring a little joy to your world!

The cast of Christmas Belles includes: Eastern Zoology instructor, Pat Ratliff of Oklahoma City, as Geneva Musgrave; Kinta freshman Shanna Harp as Honey Raye Futrelle; Wilburton freshman Jennifer as Gina Jo Dubberly; Alex sophomore Andy Fancher as Deputy John Curtis Buntner; Eufaula freshman Tiffany Clendening as Twink Futrelle; Smithville sophomore Boomer Lowrie as Dub Dubberly; Wilburton freshman Laura Myers as Frankie Futrelle Dubberly; Eufaula freshman Chelsie Hanna as Rhonda Lynn Lampley; Talihina sophomore Chris Horstman as Pastor Justin Waverly; and local community favorites, Todd and Dottie Minshall as Raynerd Chisum and Patsy Price. Wilburton sophomore Nicole Grimsley is the Stage Manager.

Admission to Christmas Belles is only $3 or you may bring 3 canned or boxed food items to be donated to the needy during the holiday seasons. And as always, Eastern students and employees are free. For more information call Director Melissa Lee at 918-465-1758.
